The sun, moon, & stars of what you need to know

When: Monday, April 8th, 2024

Few occurrences throughout the year prompt us to contemplate the vastness of our universe quite like a solar eclipse. Coming in April: a total solar eclipse. There’s something so very humbling about gazing skyward (with proper eye protection, of course) and taking in the cosmic spectacle that unfolds before us — which typically takes our breath away. Sounds like a means for a celebration to us! So, rock your ISO-certified sunglasses and let’s throw an unforgettable party under the celestial canopy! Here's what you need to know to watch the 2024 total solar eclipse. And how to host a party that does in fact go out of this world.

Yes, this is the Milky Way - we didn't want to spoil the surprise of what April 8th will bring!

To Plan

We're not NASA scientists ourselves, so we asked the experts. NASA says the eclipse will begin at 11:07AM PST in Mexico on April 8th, 2024. From there, it will travel north into the United States. It will end in Newfoundland, Canada (northeastern end) at 12:46PM PST. Whether you're having a midday party on Monday...or celebrating the weekend prior, we're here for it.
