Making a wreath the apple of your eye

It's fall y'all and you all better be ready for the most festive wreath on the block.  

Whether it’s your pretty front door, behind your bar, or on your table, these wreaths will spice up your home this fall. We don’t all need to have a degree in decorating to make our home feel festive. Trust us, your front door will be the talk of the neighborhood with a fresh apple or pumpkin wreath hanging from your door. Bonus points if it smells like apple pie ;) Check out these quick steps on how to make the hanging wreath of your dreams.

Pumpkin Spice

What you need:

• Grapevine wreath
• Wired 2-inch burlap ribbon
• Mini pumpkins
• Hot glue gun

How to make the pumpkin wreath:

1. Start with your wreath, and weave ribbon throughout it. Bob and weave, tuck and tie.
2. Arrange mini pumpkins in a cluster at the bottom of the wreath. Hot glue to the wreath to secure.
3. Hang on your door and welcome in every PSL that crosses your path.

Apple Harvest

What you need:

• 2 fall wreaths: we like 24-inch grapevine wreaths
• Fall leaf stems, fall flowers, and/or branches from your local craft store
• Apples: real or faux. Be sure not to use real apples on an outdoors wreath if animals are a problem in your area.
• Hot glue gun
• Metal wreath hanger

For added points ;)

• Cinnamon sticks
• Autumn leaves
• Pampas grass
• Pinecones
• Sunflowers

How to make the apple wreath:

1. Plug in your hot glue gun and press play to your favorite fall playlist.
2. Take your two fall wreaths and intertwine them together using the brown stems. Fluff up and tighten as you wish.
3. Tuck leaf stems and branches away into the wreaths as needed. Additional sunflowers or pinecones are always a beautiful bonus.
4. Hot glue the apples on. Options:

• ~Every color from Granny Apple to Red Delicious and those in between.
• ~Snag the fake apples from Amazon and glue them on top of the wreath. ‍
• ~Pro Tip: glue dried apple slices on top. Give your guests the gift of an apple scent immersion.

5. As lovers of all things color neutral (at times), we love to stuff pampas grass throughout the wreath as well.
6. Lastly, hang your wreath on the metal wreath hanger and hang on your front door.

Ta-da…you just created a Joanna Gaines-worthy wreath without breaking the bank. We all know that one dark and gloomy door that haunts the neighborhood all season…this wreath guarantees that won’t be you.
