How to Fold Napkins
Tie it, loop it, tuck it, pull it
Napkin folding is basically playing Bop It
If you want to take your events to the next level, spicing up something as simple as a napkin is a fun way to add to your gathering. We’re ready to show you how to complete three different folds, each with an easy 3-step process to give your dinner table decor that extra pop.
Psst, start with our favorite party napkins to get things off to a good start.
The Knot
Maybe it’s time for you or someone you know to tie the knot – we have the perfect napkin fold for you!

- Fold a square dinner napkin in half diagonally.
- Starting from the point of the triangle, roll towards the long crease of the triangle.
- Finish by tying the rolled napkin into a simple knot.
There you have it. A whimsy knotted look to accent your event! This napkin fold compliments many occasions. Play with it by arranging it on the plate, above the plate, laying straight up or angled. Mix it up and see which suits you!
The Classic Fold
Simplify your prep and prettify your space. Your table settings: instantly cleaner.

- Begin with your square napkin flat on the table.
- Fold napkin in half and flatten.
- Fold in half again, so it finishes in quarters.
It's simple. It's folded. It's classic.
The Ring
We’re not talking Lord of the Rings here… but if you’re into that, you can also try this knot at your next fan gathering.
- Lay your napkin flat on the table.
- Pinch the center and lift up.
- Pull the pinched portion through a decorative napkin ring and adjust the folds as desired. Try flipping the direction you arrange them on place settings for different looks.
