Mocktail recipes to serve at a party…or anytime

You’re the chemist; these drinks are your mixology

There comes a time in life when suddenly your social circles delve past the realm of cocktails spirited with liquor and high ABV, and consider the mysterious depths of mocktails. Let us assure you—this world of mocktails is flourishing with flavor and can even ease energy issues and crazy moods. Botanicals and adaptogens in an evening beverage? Yes please. Here are our favorite mixes to stir up for your social gatherings. Or your daily nightcap.

Our Go-To Mocktails

Gin-Spired Sparkling Water

So fresh, you’ll think it was a high-end G&T.

easy mocktail recipe
  • Sparkling water of choice—we love Perrier
  • 1 oz lime juice
  • 1 oz agave
  • Mint sprig
  • Bitters

Mix it up: Drop in a splash of berry syrup to sweeten, or a touch of balsamic vinegar. Remember the DIY Coke recipe with balsamic that ran rampant on TikTok? It still (sort of) applies.

Espresso Mock-tini

Drink this warm or over ice. Essentially a latte, but when you serve it in a martini glass, or a clear mug, this is an elevated espresso martini.

best mocktails to make at home
  • Coffee
  • Milk of choice (or sub heavy whipping cream)
  • Hot cocoa
  • Cinnamon

Pour these ingredients in desired amounts: more coffee = richer; more milk = creamier. See the quick math we did there?

Mix it up:

  • Garnish with dark chocolate ganache or chocolate sprinkles.
  • Dollop a scoop of vanilla ice cream and your guests’ nights will be made.
  • Freeze coffee ice cubes (in fun shapes, of course) to sub for ice, and prolong your drink’s flavor.
  • If serving warm, froth the milk and stir in a touch of honey to sweeten.

Spicy Marg-tail

Who knew it wasn’t tequila that made margs so addicting?

how to make a mocktail at home
  • 1 cup ice
  • Salt for rim
  • 4 slices fresh jalapeno
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice

How To Mix:

  1. Rub the lime slice around the glass rim; dip rim in salt.
  2. Fill glass with ice.
  3. Add jalapeno slices.
  4. Pour orange and lime juice over ice.
  5. Stir: and check these fun drink stirrers to make it even better.

To garnish, top the rims with sliced limes, jalapenos, and coarse salt.

Mix it up: Add a splash of watermelon sparkling water, or a mango syrup to inspire a mango margarita.

When it comes to mocktails, have fun trying new things. You’re the mixologist, and there’s no alcohol to overdo the amount. So you can’t really go wrong, right?

Pre-Made Non-Alcoholic Drinks

When in doubt, try out:
*All beverages listed below are non-alcoholic

  1. Seedlip - great sub for gin; distilled spirits with botanicals void of sugar and alcohol
  2. Hiyo: fruity seltzers with adaptogens and nootropics
  3. Three Spirit: Mood-enhancing elixirs from ethically sourced plants
  4. Amass Riverine: Sophisticated spirits with traditional gin botanicals like Juniper, Coriander, and Orris Root
  5. Kin Euphorics: For good clean, social energy; with adaptogens and nootropics
  6. Drink Monday: Whiskey, mezcal, and gin spirits; no compromise
  7. De Soi: Founded by Katy Perry; Apéritifs enhanced with soothing adaptogens like reishi mushroom and ashwagandha

And of course...there's always the latest edition of hangover-free beer. Your husband may not even realize it's low ABV. That is, until he misses his hangover in the morning. Check out Athletic Brewing to keep your mornings fresh.

Now get to mixing. Put on your most confident apron, hat, lucky necklace, and consider yourself a chemist. Mocktail edition, that is.
